Questions About Sleep Training

sweet newborn asleep in santa sleigh. isolatedMy assistant just e-mailed me and let me know that she’s been getting a lot of questions about this.

And I know that for everyone who writes or calls with a question, there are another 15 – 20 with the same questions who haven’t bothered to ask.

So — with that in mind — I wanted to answer a few common questions about The Sleep Sense Program and this offer in particular:

Question #1. What ages is this right for?

Answer: When you get started with “The Sleep Sense Program,” you’ll choose your child’s age:

0-3 months
4-6 months
7-12 months
13-24 months
25 months and up

The information you’ll get will be tailored to your child’s age. (Obviously, the strategies for getting a newborn to sleep are a lot different than what you’d want to use for a 3-year-old!)

The Sleep Sense Program is designed for children ages 5 years and younger. (If your child is older than 5, send me an e-mail and I can recommend some other approaches! :)

Christmas twinsQuestion #2. Is it a “cry-it-out” approach?

Answer: No.

To me, the “cry-it-out” method looks like this: You put your baby to bed, close the door, and ignore her until the morning.

Now, there’s no good evidence that says this approach is actually harmful to children… but it sure is stressful for the parents!

I don’t know about you, but I just would NOT be able to handle listening to my children cry and not going in to check on them and offer reassurance. So I certainly wouldn’t ask YOU to do this, either!

Question #3. How long does it take to get my child sleeping through the night?

Answer: Some parents tell me their children sleep through the night the very first night, although this is relatively rare. (Maybe 15% of the time.) Other parents tell me it takes significantly longer.

So while it’s impossible to say how long before YOUR child is sleeping through the night, I can tell you that — ON AVERAGE — parents are seeing a dramatic improvement in their child’s sleep by the 3rd night using “The Sleep Sense Program.”

Question #4. Is this any different from the books I have already read?

Answer: I’d say that at least 50% of my customers have already read at least 2 books on this subject. And they tell me that there are TWO main things that make “The Sleep Sense Program” different:

a. It’s simple. Rather than fill your head with a bunch of fluff and theories, I just explain the exact steps you should follow in order to get your child sleeping well.

(Of course, I do take time to explain WHY the steps you’ll be following are important. And I offer different approaches to try depending on your child’s personality. But I also realize that you’re looking for results… so that’s what I focus on.)

Sleep Sense Program to Help Children Sleepb. “The Sleep Sense Program” isn’t just a book.

Buy yourself a book on baby sleep, and — well — you’ve got yourself a book. You can read it, put it on your shelf, and take it down from time to time if you need to look something up.

“The Sleep Sense Program” includes books (that you can read on your tablet, phone, computer, etc.), but it also includes a huge, day-by-day “how-to” video library with content customized for your child’s age.

It also gives you access to things like next-day e-mail support, weekly telephone calls with me personally, my “Baby Sleep Bootcamp’ videos, and much more.

In other words, it really does give you absolutely everything you’ll need to get your child sleeping through the night and taking long, restful naps during the day!

Question #5. What if it doesn’t work. Can I get my money back?

Answer: Yes. If you decide you aren’t satisfied — for any reason — within one year of purchase, you can get a prompt, polite refund by e-mailing custserv@sleepsense.net or calling 206-923-9489.

I offer this guarantee so that you feel comfortable ordering “The Sleep Sense Program,” taking a look at everything you get, and THEN deciding if this is right for you.

If it isn’t, just let me know. You’ll get your money back and we’ll still be friends! :)

Phew! I just realized this has turned into rather a long message, but I wanted to make sure you had all the details you need to make an informed decision.
